Hi everyone, saw a different GP today, was hoping to get some help regarding sleeping. He was very nice and listened, and suggested amtriptolyne (spelling) to help me sleep as my hips and neck and shoulder are so painful at night.
I told him about my job, and that I feel I need to give it up soon, he said not to be in too much of a hurry, as he feels sure that I can become pain free, I'm not holding out much hope though!!
i also mentioned being tested for MCTD and lupus, and if this shows positive then thats more problems. He asked why I havent been offered prednisone and patches instead of taking tramadol. I told him that no one at clinic has ever mentioned it, even though I tell them about the pain and swelling. He said I shouldnt be suffering chronic pain without being given any meds to at least try to help it. He said to come back if the amtriptolyne doesnt work, wo at least hes trying, which is more than can be said for anyone else.
Will collect the script tomorrow, and try it tomorrow night.
Take care all xSmile

Well, Barb!

That was good then. My GP has been such a God send. I dont know what I would have done without her.

I take Nortryptalin as I got nightmares on the amitryptalin- there are several alternatives if it doesnt agree with you- but hopefully it will be fine.

Love

I`m glad you had a good appointment - it makes such a difference!

Good luck with the amitriptyline - they really help me. I take 20mgs.
